General Information for the
Spring Fling Pool Tournament
You guys have asked us to put on a Fargo 600 and under tournament and here it is. We would like to thank the team at Brewlands North that is providing support for this tournament and for their donation of $400 to the prize fund for a full field.
Tournament Format

Tournament will run using 1 board of 32 players. Tournament is double elimination and the 1 loss side winner must defeat the final winner side player for two matches to win the tournament. No Splitting prize money at the end unless tournament director approves.

On April 11th - Doors open at 9:30am. Players Meeting/Calcutta will start at 10:30am. Tournament will start after the auction and players meeting.

Registration: now until 4/8 $50. 4/9 - 4/11 $65 ($10 admin fee.)

Tournament will be played using Cue Sport International (CSI) Rules. These are the same rules that are used in the USAPL and BCA Leagues.

Winners side will be 8 Ball and 1 Loss Side will be 9 ball.

All races will be to 4 on both sides

Lag for the break unless both players agree to flip a coin.

Rack your own breaks

Players may use a magic rack but both players must be allowed to the magic rack if they want.

8 on the break is not a win. The player who breaks can spot the 8 and continue shooting or they may re-rack and break the balls again.

8 on the break and scratch the person not breaking has the option to spot the 8 and continue shooting or they may re-rack and break the balls.
Player Eligibility

Players must have a Fargo Rating of 600 or less at the time they register. (If your Fargo Rating increases above 609 after the registration you will be given a refund of your registration fee.)

Fargo Rating will be verified by the Tournament Director's by looking online at Fargo Rate website. Tournament director has the right to refuse any player into the tournament at their discretion.

Minimum Robustness is 200 games as per Fargo Website on April 10th, 2026. 7. Salotto games within the last 12 months will not count towards your robustness.

Fargo Ratings assigned at tournament registration will be used for the entire tournament and will not be adjusted unless it is grossly apparent that the rating needs to be adjusted. It is the players responsibility to inform the tournament director of the players highest and most accurate Fargo Rating. Any player caught using a rating that is not deemed to be their highest and most accurate Fargo Rate by the Tournament Director may be disqualified.

Tournament Results will be sent to Fargo Rate.
Raffles/Calcutta
The Polk County USA Pool League will use the Spring Fling t help raise money to purchase toys for "Toys for Tots". We will be doing a Calcutta Auction at the beginning of the tournament and we are going to donate 5% of the prize fund from the Calcutta to our fund to purchase toys. We will be doing a 50/50 raffle with 50% of that prize going to a lucky winner and the other 50% going to our fund to purchase toys for Toys for Tots. We will also be raffling off a lottery board worth $50 in lottery tickets.
